If you are a member of Lower Wharfedale Ramblers and would be willing to lead our efforts in developing publicity and recruiting for the Ramblers locally we would like to hear from you.

Our Social Committee consist of Len (chair), Marion, Alan, Judy, Henry, Hilary and Pamela. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for all their hard work in arranging so many excellent social events.

Len will continue to prepare the programmes, you will hear from him as he requests walks for the programmes every three months.

At the 2009 AGM our group discussed a proposal that we create a structure of guidance for people to contribute toward the cost of petrol when sharing cars. On a vote 19 were in favour of this proposal and 24 voted against with 13 abstentions.
Thus it remains up to drivers and passengers to decide how much and whether they will, or will not, give or take contributions toward the expense of journeys.

It was proposed that the A+ walk start time should be at the discretion of the leader. This was accepted by 6 votes for and 2 against.

By a vote of 24 for and 18 against with 11 abstentions it was agreed that walk leaders be asked to give a grid reference for the point where their walks start.

Someone did volunteer to replace Pat to send out the Area Walks Programmes to Lower Wharfedale.
