Footpath Maintenance

The Lower Wharfedale Ramblers’ path maintenance team works hard to keep our local footpaths accessible and enjoyable. We clear vegetation from overgrown routes, repair damaged stiles, and, wherever possible, replace stiles with gates to make paths easier for everyone. Each year, we complete around five or six projects, often working alongside other walking groups and in partnership with local councils’ Rights of Way teams, who regularly supply gates, stiles, and other materials. Our team currently has about 15 members, but we’re always keen to welcome new faces.
